The brick clerestory was added in the 18th century.

The three-light east window with its reticulated tracery has stained glass of 1929 by A.K Nicholson.

A panel in the lower part of the window carries this dedication: Remember in the Lord JAMES FRANCIS QUIRK Priest, Rector of this Parish A.D. 1892-1927, in whose memory his friends dedicated this window in honour of the Son of God Incarnate A.D. 1929.

The octagonal font with its cusped panels and shields is Perpendicular work of the 14th or 15th century.

A distinctive gravestone for a casualty of the First World War.

The dedication reads:

HERBERT LEWIS / Captain in the R.F.A. [Royal Field Artillery] / died April 17th 1917 aged 36 / he nobly answered duty's call.

The earliest parts of St Nicholas's church are the Early English arcades, dating from circa 1200.

The chancel is basically Decorated, though much restored in the early 20th century.
